College students have stood at the forefront of every great American social justice movement. From the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC) during the civil rights movement to Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) during the anti-war movement, students have been fierce advocates for change. And now we’ve proven that students can be change makers in education. Across the country, students have demanded better schools, leaders, and policy in their communities.
With 4000 members and more than 150 media hits this school year, students are reclaiming the narrative about their neighborhoods and demanding more from their districts. Our movement for better schools and thriving neighborhoods is unstoppable. Because our experiences in our schools and communities are our truth—and our truth is UNDENIABLE.
UNDENIABLE is the theme of our 10th national summit, our largest convening to date. 250 members, alumni and community partners will gather to reflect on our work, reimagine the future of student organizing, and celebrate the strength of our growing movement.
