Higher L(earning) Campaign Community Meeting at Hickory Grove Library

Higher L(earning) Campaign Community Meeting at Hickory Grove Library

Credit Recovery Programs have become band aid solutions to larger problems.

Credit Recovery Programs have become a way to graduate students despite chronic absences, low GPA's and extremely low literacy scores. Charlotte-Mecklenburg boasts one of the highest graduation rates in the state, but some students graduate with a GPA of less than 1.0.

We're demanding a change. Charlotte's students are full of potential and our schools have a duty to help them realize it. At our community action meeting, students, parents, and community members will share personal testimony around credit recovery programs. We're building a strategy to take this fight to the school board. Come learn how to get involved.

Our community is not getting the education we were promised.

We need your voice at this community meeting. RSVP below.
